These are courses designed to apply communicative skills to everyday life situations and to develop language fluency skills for intermediate-level students. Students will be exposed to different authentic texts (newspaper articles, literary texts, new broadcasts, films, etc.) and topics pertaining to Italian contemporary culture. Students should be able to engage in meaningful discussions of these texts at an intermediate-level. Prerequisite: ITA 102 or ITA 113/114 or departmental approval. NOTE: These two courses must be taken together and only in Molloy's Summer Study Abroad Program in Italy. 3, 3 credits
