(formerly HSL 202) The purpose of this course is to make students aware of the need to understand the uses of computer systems in the healthcare field. Basic hardware and software used in information management, and exposure to systems development will be discussed. Emphasis will be given to data management and information systems through the life cycle concept as applies in the healthcare environment. Case studies are used where appropriate.
