(also COM 460; formerly ENG 203) An opportunity to acquire professional journalistic experience in off-campus facilities: local newspapers, magazines, television studios, business firms or government agencies. One-semester or two-semester internship requiring eight hours of professionally supervised field experience per week and a one-hour seminar per week with the campus director of the internship. Prerequisites: ENG 233, 234, 301; prerequisites may vary according to specific internship. (Offered upon request) 3-6 credits
