This course is designed to introduce both regular and special education teacher candidates to telecommunications and pragmatic instructional, adaptive and tool applications of technology. In congruence with the New York State Learning Standards and Goals 2000, teacher candidates will integrate diversified technology tools and the realm of the web into the curriculum for information retrieval in order to acquire and share information, communicate globally and enhance learning. Through "hands-on'' activities teacher candidates will be shown strategies to incorporate productivity, multimedia and simulation software into their core curriculum and implement assistive technology for the special need students. Fee-$60.00. 3 credits
