The concepts and tools for the analysis and design of information systems in business are presented. Students apply the key concepts in designing their own information system project. The focus is on structured analysis and design techniques using the ideas of logical data flow diagrams, extended entity-relationship models, user interface prototypes and process diagrams. The Systems Development Life Cycle, prototyping, feasibility studies and CASE tools are incorporated. Prerequisite: CIS 224. (Offered Fall) Lab Fee-$50.00. 3 credits
