Street crimes command the attention of politicians and the mass media. But white collar crimes cost our society far more in lives hurt and lost, and property damaged. These white collar crimes take such diverse forms as professional misconduct, deliberate industrial pollution, and governmental repression of political opponents. The course examines the content, causes, and means of controlling these various white collar crimes. (Cr. 3)
