Basic principles of groundwater hydrology and subsurface contaminant transport. Construction and use of flow nets; pumping well and aquifer response under confined and unconfined conditions. Contaminant sources, transport, and retardation; the behavior of nonaqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) in the subsurface.
