An elective course for deck or engine students planning to sail aboard tankers. Examines the theory, principles, and operation of inert gas and crude oil washing systems found aboard modern tankers. Successful completion of the course will lead to the credit of 2 loads & 2 discharges toward the Tankerman PIC endorsement. Prerequisite: Ns-210, or Et-201 and Eg-234. Cr. 3.
