A preparatory course for engineers in formulating decision-making guidelines and solving technical problems while considering ethical ramifications. Includes professionalism and codes of ethics as related to moral and virtue issues. Responsibility of engineers as well as risk safety and liability associated with decision-making processes as they affect the environment and societal norms are also included. Prerequisite: senior standing or permission of the instructor. Rec. 3, Cr. 3.
