Other topics selected from the following: primitive roots and indices, quadratic reciprocity, the theory of prime numbers, continued fractions, sums of squares, analytic number theory. Prerequisite: Mathematics 215 or consent of instructor. Taught: Alternate years, 4 semester credits.
