This course exposes students to a brief history of print production and 4-color processes used in creating advertisements for print media (newspapers, magazines, books, outdoor posters, transportation advertisements such as "bus wraps," and otherpromotional materials). This course familiarizes students with the current practices for providing technical specifications, cost estimates, and scheduling timelines in producing printed material intended for distribution to mass audiences. To heighten awareness of career options in print production, students will participate in tours of advertising agencies and high volume print production facilities. 3 CRE DITS
