Game audio is concerned with both linear and non linear aspects of sound design. Many games have sequences of shots that also may require sound and music. These scenes are linear in nature, and a close cousin to animation. The concepts of linear sound design and music editing are a necessary skill for a sound designer today. Film sound and animation sound act as the foundation for the understanding of linear game sound. Film, animation, and game examples are presented throughout the course.
