This is the first of two semesters in which you will be working collaboratively with fellow classmates on a single project, the purpose of which is to simulate an actual production environment that they might face once having left academia. Each participant will be assigned a particular production role based on a portfolio review at the beginning of the class in which you each will be asked to share portfolio work from previous classes with the executive producer (the instructor) and fellow classmates. This first semester of pre-production includes screenplay, design of characters and backgrounds, storyboards, sound recording, and completion of a story reel. Each student will be assigned specific production roles based on a review of his or her work.
