Course introduces different aspects of cartoon drawing. Course teaches basic techniques of cartoon drawing and investigates five genres of cartooning. Students study in-depth one liner, multi-panel, advertisement, illustrative, and political editorial cartoons. Instruction includes historical study of specific types of cartoons dating from 1745.
