Course investigates how social, economic, and political institutions affect film and video style and content during a specific era. In turn, it looks at how movies provide metaphorical snapshots of their culture at these moments. Topics covered in the past have included films of the '50s, films of the '60s, films ofthe '70s, movies and war propaganda, and black roles in film and society.
