Course introduces basic film lighting techniques for students with little or no studio lighting experience. Students become familiar with important safety procedures and the uses of standard pieces of lighting equipment. The role of grip and gaffer on the film set is also explored. Special attention is given to important light measuring techniques, including use of the spotmeter.
