The course explores contributions of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered individuals to contemporary culture (1980-Present). An interdisciplinary course, the final class project encourages students to work within their fields of interest. Several films are viewed in class; some are assigned for out-of-class viewing. Class visitors from Columbia College Chicago and other Chicago-area institutions will address issues covered in class.
