Course improves students' abilities to succeed with the wide range of reading that college requires. Students read fulllength books and short stories, improve their comprehension of narrative text, and explore interpretations of stories through artistic creation. Students learn several reading and notetaking strategies appropriate for different types of expository (informational) text.
