Content includes modern American drama, which surveys twentieth-century American playwrights such as O'Neill, Odets, Heilman, Williams, Miller, Inge, and Hansberry, and experimental drama, which explores the development of experimental theater through figures such as Jarry, Beckett, Stein, Ionesco, Shepard, and Shange.
