Course explores the literature of one or more East Asian or South Asian country, such as Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, India, or Tibet. Relevant socio-cultural traditions will be discussed along with specific texts. Work will be read in English translation where necessary. Students will write papers and create projects incorporating insights from their reading and discussion.
