This course provides students with a thorough introduction to computer aided design with a focus on theatrical uses for AutoCAD. With hands on exercises, assignments and projects students will gain the capacity to create and distribute industry standard (USIT) theatrical drawings that mimic hand drafting. This course is recommended for scenic designers. 3 CREDITS PREREQUISITES: 31-1600 INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN FOR THE STAGE, 35-1100 FOUNDATIONS OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS OR 31-1600 INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN FOR THE STAGE, 35-1110 FLUENCY IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
