Course consists of a performing group experience in which high professional standards of jazz orchestra performance are explained and achieved. Group performs music written especially for group performance and music from the literature, ranging from Ellington to the present. Students develop skills such as composition, interpretation, and improvisation. Course may be taken as many as seven times for credit. 1 CREDIT PREREQUISITES: 32-2880 JAZZ COMBO CONCURRENT: PRIMARY PRIVATE LESSONS
