Western Dance History introduces major dance movements, choreographers, and performers who have shaped and developed Western Concert dance from the 17th century to present day. The course focuses on the development of ballet, modern, and dance forms influenced by the African Diaspora. Course outcomes include understanding and appreciating dance as an art form.
