Students explore possibilities for adapting prose fiction to drama. Course includes readings, discussions, and videotapes of plays based upon fictional works such as The Glass Menagerie, Native Son, Spunk, and Of Mice and Men. Students experiment, creating their own adaptations from selected prose fiction of published authors as well as from their own work.
