Utilizing information gained in Producing Recorded Music II and through interactive application, students will gain knowledge relating to the aspects of pre-production, pre-editing, tracking, mixing and post-editing music for commercial recordings. Emphasis is placed on: planning procedures; applications of music theory; imploring producer attributes; utilizing recording terminology and the execution of these concepts. Students will produce tracking, mixing and editing sessions with an actual artist. The final mastering session will be produced with a guest professional engineer. 2 CREDITS PREREQUISITES: 28-4422 PRODUCING RECORDED MUSIC II: APPLIED TECHNIQUES AND PERMISSION OF MUSIC BUSINESS COORDINATOR
