This course provides students with an overview of management issues in visual arts museums and galleries, including exhibition planning, development and interpretation, environmental and technical concerns in exhibition and collections management, artist relations, and public and educational outreach. The course will include hands-on experience, field trips, lecture and research activities, guest speakers, and discussion of current issues in cultural production and presentation.
