Course covers four thousand years of art on the Indian subcontinent. Course begins with the Indus Valley Civilization and then follows the development of painting, sculpture, and architecture created for the region's varied religions and rulers. Course concludes with modern and contemporary Indian art, with an emphasis on how it relates to the past.
