This course provides students with information regarding the use of synthetic material for sculpture and 3-D design. Traditional procedures such as mold making, casting, fabrication, and assemblage are reapplied through the use of plastic, rubber, and other engineered materials. Students are encouraged to experiment with the introduced material so as to explore their unique properties as well as their capabilities for multiple production. 3 CREDITS PREREQUISITES: 22-1230 FUNDAMENTALS OF 3-D DESIGN
