Credits: 6 Prerequisite: none This course provides an overview and introduction to the discipline of project management, coupled with an examination of the techniques that project managers use to complete their projects on schedule, within budgeted cost, and according to specified scope. Using materials based on the PMBOK? (Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge, published by the Project Management Institute or PMI?), students learn the operational framework of project management relating to the project lifecycle of project initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing. This course also provides the basis for the more advanced development of project management skills in subsequent project management courses.
