Knowledge of the science and technology that underlie photography intended to help those interested in photography to become knowledgeable and skilled photographers. This course presents the history of photography, as well as a detailed presentation of how it "works" from the point of view of the simplephysics relating to light, color, lenses, image formation and storage, etc. Both film based and digital imaging are covered. Offered annually. Concurrent registration in PHY 121L.
