Provides knowledge and skills for interacting with the media. You will study the definition of "news" and its role in the managementof a business. You will learn techniques for planning and executing successful editorial approaches including placement of news releases with print and electronic media, management of the news event, and effective strategies for corporate spokespersons when meeting the press. Prerequisite: PR 320. Students must pass the English Placement Test or complete ENGL 301 Graduate Writing II with a grade of B or better before registering for this course.
