This course will present a formal approach to state-of-the-art techniques in software design and development. It will expose students to the entire software life cycle, which includes feasibility studies, the problem specification, the software requirements, the program design, the coding phase, debugging, testing and verification, benchmarking, documentation, and maintenance. An integral part of the course will be involvement of students working in teams in the development of a large scale software project. Prerequisites: CSC 150; MAT 140
