This course focuses on the acquisition of the theoretical knowledge of student development and skills necessary in the provision of supervised care for children and young adults. In particular, students develop the skills necessary to function in the role of a residential advisor and begin to make application of these skills within the Student Life program of the University. The course is part of a sequence. A second semester course, COU 352, is required. Prerequisite: Permission of the department chair
