Description:

This course expands and builds upon previous macroeconomic knowledge learned in introductory macroeconomics study. The course emphasizes the depth and breadth of the workings of the macroeconomic system through classroom examination and research, and by providing students with the experience of critically applying these concepts as they are related to current national and world events. Issues in monetary policy, employment an unemployment, inflation, aggregate demand and supply, and economic growth, and their interrelationships and policy implications are stressed. The study of these topics is structured in a manner that will serve as models for the types of analyses required in many post-graduate employment and graduate study environments.
