This course is designed to help the student gain new and expanded insight into health education issues that are critical to the understanding, growth, development and well-being of K-12 students. This course will provide an in-depth analysis of the following health issues that are age-appropriate for the K-12 setting: mental, emotional, personal and environmental wellness; nutrition; drugs, alcohol and tobacco; human sexuality; STD's and youth risk behavior; diseases; consumer health; community health; and family health/life. Spring.
