Continuation of SCI 334, this course will expand on the natural science curriculum for elementary education majors. The two semester course will be divided into three 10-week sessions of Biology, Earth Science, and Physics with the science curriculum for the course matching the K-6 Science Education Proficiencies for the state of Indiana. The science teaching methodology emphasizing hands-on experiences and inquiry will concurrently be introduced. Possible topics for the course will include: population studies, pollution, rocketry, electricity, sound, and matter. Taken concurrently with EDE 345, EDE 366, MAT 324, and EFE385. Prerequisites: 2.50 GPA (A=4.00), SCI 334, and admission to the teacher education program. Spring, junior year.
