An introductory study of the interrelationship of form and meaning in poetry and fiction. Students will develop skills of literary analysis and get extensive practice in writing papers about literature. Prerequisite: sophomore standing or consent of instructor. English majors may substitute ENG 200 for LA 201, but may not substitute LA 201 for ENG 200. (English majors and minors must complete the course with a C or better.) Fall.
