An advanced investigation of genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology, this course will investigate the theory and principles behind the new biological revolution in molecular biotechnology. Medical and industrial applications as well as ethical concerns will be discussed. Lab work will involve learning recombinant DNA techniques that are the cornerstone of molecular biology. Two hours lecture, three hours laboratory. Same as CHE 392. Prerequisite: BIO 140. Spring, even academic years.
