A detailed understanding of cells will be developed in relationship to the following topics: ultra structure, biochemistry, metabolism, reproduction, molecular genetics, gene regulation, membrane transport, photosynthesis and respiration. Four hours lecture and discussion, two hours laboratory. Satisfies laboratory sciences requirement. Prerequisite: minimum grade of C- in BIO 134 or BIO 115, or permission of the instructor. Spring.
