This is the first of a two-semester sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach, with emphasis on the interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization. The first semester covers an introduction to scientific principles, principles of cell biology, histology, the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and respiratory systems. The laboratory includes physiological investigations, and dissections of cats and vertebrate organs. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory. Fall.
