A continuation of ART 170, with added emphasis on color as a formal element. The intermediate students will begin with a broader palette and attempt a greater variety of scales. Studio format with lectures, demonstrations, group critiques, and individualized instruction. Subject matter: still life, landscape, and human figure. Prerequisite: ART 170 or consent of instructor. Fee: $15 nonrefundable. Fall and spring.
