Prerequisite(s): MAT 300/500 This course is a continuation of MAT 300 with topics taken from the theory and applications of curves and surfaces. The class will treat some of the material from MAT 300 in more detail, like the mathematical foundations for non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curves and surfaces, knot insertion, and subdivision. Other topics may include basic differential geometry of curves and surfaces, tensor product surfaces, and multivariate splines.
