A study of musicals that, beginning with Hair, reconfigured the standard leads-chorus structure into a "tribal" one. The elevenworks examined include Hair, Company, Chorus Line, Nine, Cats, and Assassins. The course, apart from analyzing the works, culminates in a performance of excerpts from each of them. This is the same course as Music 219. Prerequisite: Audition and permission of the instructor. Enrollment limited to 18 students. G. Moshell
