An introduction to the possibilities, problems, and conventions of dramatic writing for the screen. Students will explore the concepts of character, story, dramatic structure, visualization and economy of dialog. Through a series of exercises students will develop an idea into a finished script for a short film. This is the same course as Film Studies 238. Open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
