Relationship between the nervous system and behavior. Neural and sensory functioning and the biological substrates of homeostatic behaviors, such as sex, aggression, and feeding. Biological basis of language, learning, development, emotions, stress and mental functioning. Course will be a combination of lectures, dissections, laboratory experiments, selfguided investigations, computer tutorials and classroom demonstrations. This is the same course as Biology 314. Two lectures and one laboratory per week. Prerequisite: Course 202 or Biology 202 or permission of the instructor. Enrollment limited to 20 students. Offered annually. R. Grahn
