An examination of the anatomical, physiological and psychological/behavioral aspects of sensation and perception. This course will include lecture and discussions of the basic sensory mechanisms and higher order processing of visual, auditory, tactile and chemical information. The impact of sensation and perception on development, learning and memory, cognition and environmental adaptation will also be presented. Prerequisite: Psychology 101, Biology 101, or Biology 105.
