A survey of stars, galaxies, and the universe as a whole, their properties, behaviors and interactions. Exploration of the physical concepts needed to interpret, and the tools used to make, astronomical observations. Topics include the life and death of stars, all kinds of black holes, the search for dark matter, and the origin, evolution and possible fate of our universe. Three hours lecture weekly.
