This course examines current models of teaching and pedagogy. Students will gain an understanding of today's high school students and the world and engage in a critical examination of curriculum standards, learning strategies and assessment practices. Connections will be developed between the Education Department's social justice curriculum and teaching in secondary schools. Observation and teaching in secondary schools are required. Prerequisite: Education 223; Human Development 225 and 307. Required of high school certification candidates. Offered second semester. S. Grande
