Description:
The nature and types of chemical reactions and the mass and energy relationships accompanying chemical changes will be emphasized in Course 103. Equilibrium, kinetics and electrochemistry are the primary focus of Course 104. The laboratory emphasizes basic techniques in quantitative and qualitative analysis. Five credit hours each semester. Students cannot receive credit for both Courses 103 and 107. Three hours lecture; three hours laboratory work; one hour recitation. Chemistry 103 is prerequisite to 104.
