Exploration of the complex context of indigenous peoples and biodiversity in relation to the impact of the world economic development. The question of sustainable development as a way to preserve the culture of indigenous peoples and biodiversity will be discussed. The students will develop an understanding of the challenges indigenous people are facing and the future of biodiversity. This is the same course as Environmental Studies 493E, 494E.
